Power of Psalms in the Holy Land

I was on vacation in Israel, and on the second to last day, I went to the grave site of the Amuka to pray for a marriage partner. I was there for 8 hours and read the entire book of Tehilim for the first time from front to back with as much intention as I could gather. I arrived in the afternoon and was the last to leave when it was already pitch black at the site. I began my drive back to Tel Aviv where I was staying with a friend until my flight back home. I was driving a rental. During my drive, the highway was blocked off and I needed to find an alternative route home. I took a left, then a right, and just followed other traffic. Little did I know I would find myself in the middle of a massive protest by Israeli Arabs in the Village of Fauridis. The highway had been blocked due to Arabs throwing rocks at passing cars, and now I was in their village. Needless to say I had no intention of stopping there, I was only passing through. Now when I arrived on the other side of this village I found myself face to face with more than 300 protesting Arabs who had lit a massive fire in the roundabout facing the village. 30 feet high at least. All those in attendance with their flags raised and masks on their faces. They started to gather around my car, banging, screaming at me. Then they started trying to open the doors of my car. I was on the phone with my mother, it had been mothers day in America, and I told here that I needed to call her right back. I kept the car moving but the aggression towards me was growing, rocks started flying. My car had been moving right through this sea of people very slowly, I had nowhere else to go. I arrived on the other side of this sea of people only to realize that there was a traffic jam on the other side. Now I could see in my rearview mirror that the crowd was coming after my car. I had no idea what to do, I put the car in reverse and hit the gas, the crowd took a few steps back thinking that my next move was aggression perhaps. However, after going in reverse a few feet to my right in front of my car was a dirt, path onto an agricultural field. I sped onto this field and just drove. I found myself lost in this field for at least 20 minutes until I found my way out. Certianly the merit of Psalms saved my life.Due to this occurrence I must do a Thanksgiving Meal yearly. Sponsor it and share in this Miracle with me.

Water in the Desert

We were deep in the heart of the Negev desert, swallowed by the vast, dry quiet of the landscape. My friend was struggling—wrestling with his faith, his path, and feeling disconnected. As we walked away from the rest of our group, I wanted him to understand the sheer magnitude of the Creator’s love for him.

I explained that God’s love for every single individual is boundless, and that He cherishes the prayer of every single person. I wanted him to realize the true power of that connection. I looked at him and said that the love God has for us is so immense that, if I truly wanted it, if I truly asked, my prayer could bring rain to this barren desert.

The response was instantaneous. Not a second later, a single cloud traversed the dry November sky above us. Suddenly, we both felt it—distinct, unmistakable droplets of water falling against our skin in the middle of the wasteland. It was an immediate, physical answer from the heavens, proving exactly what I had just said. God was listening.

Keeping the sabbath

The following is a true occurance that shows the power of keeping the Sabbath! I was just coming back to America to finish my last year in University. I was learning criminology with the goal of becoming a police officer. I was living at home at the time but I still needed to work like everybody. I was applying for work anywhere and everywhere I could, and I was landing interviews. However, I walk around with a beard and a kippah on my head and tzittzit coming out the bottom of my shirt. When I went to these interviews, I was always asked, "Can you work weekends"?  - "NO" I replied. They always said the same thing after that part of the conversation. "We'll be in touch". Now I wont go on to say that I was always the best guy for the job right? There can always be a better guy. I would like to say that at least one or two of those jobs I should have gotten had I been able to work the weekend.

So, the story gets intersting here. My mother was very worried about this, and I did not come from a religious Shabbos observant family, my mother and father would tell me..."well maybe you have to work on Shabbos". I always said, no of course. However, I didnt stop at just saying "no". I wanted to show my mother just how much G-d wants jews to keep Shabbos. After 5 months of searching for work, and my mother telling me to work on Shabbos, I said to my mother during this conversation - " Mom, youre right, Im not finding work, its a problem. People dont want me if I cant work on Shabbos. But look, G-d wants me to keep Shabbos so much, He is just going to have to find another way to give me money, because I cant work on Shabbos." Ok, so get this reader....Two weeks go by and I get a letter in the mail from the IRS. They sent a letter, that they would be giving me a tax refund from 2 years prior where I overpaid on my taxes. Got the check a day or two later for about 1,500 dollars. I showed my mother. She said, "Great, but athat isnt enough money to get you anywhere." I said to her in reply, "You know what mom, your right, G-d wants my Shabbat so much, the IRS is just going to have to send me MORE MONEY!" Now, I cant say I am this righteous perfect Saint of a man but I kid you not, two days later another letter from the IRS, I overpaid on my taxes 3 years ago as well, and a day or two later again a check for 1500 Dollars. Wow the power of prayer, How much G-d listens and wants Jews to keep Shabbos! The kindness and greatness of G-d.

The above are real occurrences, however every outcome is different and nothing can be guaranteed. We offer a physical presence, in Israel to "carry your prayers" to the holy sites and you can "Bless Israel with Prayer."
